Our Studio

An Early Childhood Learning Space

At Claremont Park Studio, we believe early childhood is a wonderful season of life. In our small-group setting, we thoughtfully integrate the independent spirit of Montessori-inspired choice, the collaborative inquiry of Reggio-inspired exploration, the seasonal rhythm of Waldorf-inspired traditions, and the critical cognitive development of play-based learning. Every material, thoughtfully scaled furnishing, and moment of quiet attention is selected to nurture joyful engagement, agency, and natural wonder.
Children deserve more than supervision, they deserve a place built for them to thrive.

Foundational Pillars

Four expressions of a thoughtful curriculum

Intentional Design

Every material encourages independence, movement, creativity and learning through play.

Small Groups

By keeping our group small, your child develops meaningful relationships with other kids and caregivers. Your child belongs, not one face among many.

Learning Through Experience

Children paint, garden, build, cook, read, create, ask questions and solve problems through meaningful experiences.

Everyday Wonder

We follow the slow rhythm of natural curiosity. A hummingbird stopping by, a leaf glistening in the sun, or the changing texture of wood and clay, nature is part of the classroom. Every day there is something to be discovered and learned.

A Day in the Studio

How we spend our days together

Children thrive with rhythm. Our days balance structure and freedom, giving children the security of rhythm and the space to explore their interests.

Purposeful Work

Materials encourage concentration, independence, early math and language, practical life and sensory exploration.

Outdoor Exploration

Gardening, water play, nature discovery, movement and exploration.

Create with Open-Ended Materials

Clay, sand, raw wood blocks, watercolor, pure textiles with modern kids toys for well rounded play.

Home Prepared Meals and Family Style Meals

Whenever developmentally appropriate, children share meals together, practicing self-serving, making choices, engaging in conversation, and building confidence through shared routines.

Art, Music and Creativity

Storytelling, arts and crafts, music through play and projects.

Rest and Quiet Nap

Restful nap to recharge for afternoon play.

Pedagogical Integration

Inspired Learning. Meaningful Childhood.

Stories and Toys

Imagination & Natural Rhythm

Rich storytelling, toys, and structured sensory rhythms that follow the seasons and provide soothing structure.

Play-Based

Social-Emotional Flow

Developmentally appropriate experiences that support cognitive, social-emotional, language and physical growth. Together, these philosophies create a balanced environment where children become confident, compassionate and curious learners.
